Oh the drama!

Note: You should read this next line with some sarcasm.

I can't believe my husband could be so cruel to me!  So horrible!  Oh, the heartbreak!

Let me start at the beginning...  Once upon a time, in the morning on her way to work, there was a lady who wanted to call her husband.  She picked up her cell phone and dialed her loving husband's number.  It rang once and then went straight to voice-mail.  So she tried again.  She wondered if maybe his phone was shut off on accident.  She sends him a text message and gets a response after a while.  At the end of the day on her way home, the caring wife tries to call her husband again.  Yet again, it rings once and goes straight to voice-mail.  The wife calls the house phone and her husband answers.  She asks if his phone is shut off.  He responds with a no.  The concerned wife explains that she can't get a hold of him.  He calls her phone with no problem.  The wife gets home and they make several calls to see if they can establish the problem.

The husband calls his cell phone from the house phone.  No problem.  The wife called a few other people to see if it happened with other calls.  No problem there either.  Strange...  The wife calls U.S. Cellular on the house phone to explain the situation.  The tech had the wife try several things.  Nothing was working.  The tech informs the wife that an app she downloaded could be causing the problem.  Battery savers have been known to cause such problems. As a last resort, the tech has the wife wipe her phone clean of everything except what was on her SD card.  EVERYTHING!  APPS, bookmarks, etc.  The husband is in the background griping that she needs to just hang up and text him if she wants to get a hold of him from now on.  He continued to gripe that they needed to get going to their son's baseball game.  The wife explained to the tech that she needed to leave, so he explains the rest of the steps it takes to reset her phone and then re-enter her contacts from her SD card.  The tech says he will call her back in a few hours if he is able to, to see if the problem has been solved.

The wife hangs up, jumps in the vehicle with her phone in pieces.  The back is off, the itty bitty SD card is out to make sure it doesn't get erased, and the battery is also out.  Her husband peels out of the driveway to ensure they are not late while the wife tries to put her phone back together.  She finally gets it all together, turns it on, and calls her husband.  What do you think happened?  You  guessed it.  Rang once and went straight to voice-mail.  The wife had no more time to deal with it because they had arrived at the ballpark.  The husband is grouchy to the wife.  The coach overhears and directs a question to the wife.  He asks if the husband is hungry, because that's how he acts when he's hungry.  The husband admits he is hungry and frustrated.  The coach informs the couple that he's also had cell phone issues.

The couple leave the cell phones alone for a while.  After the game, the couple, their children, and the grandparents decide to get a bite to eat.  The wife complains because she wants to avoid carbs as much as possible.  She is on a low carb diet.  They settle on Subway where the wife has a salad.  While there, this very nice coach from the opposing team asks them if their son was the catcher.  We tell him he is correct.  The nice gentleman tells them their son is a very good catcher and that he was impressed.  The parents are very proud of the son!

After eating, they head home.  Both cell phones are dying, so the wife plugs them in as soon as she gets in the house.  The tech does not call back, so the wife places another call.  She gets another tech and explains the situation.  This tech says she thinks the problem stems from the husband's phone.  She made sure the wife was on the house phone, the husband's phone, and the wife's phone were in hand.  She has the wife go into the husband's contacts.  She has the wife look to see if he has any blocked callers.  Oh, you guessed it!  The husband has the wife blocked!  Out of the 100or so contacts, the husband accidentally blocked his wife while his cell phone was in his pocket.  This tech informs her it is a common occurrence and that another couple had called in earlier with the exact same issue.   The wife was not pleased that she erased EVERYTHING from her phone only to find out the issue was that simple.  The wife spends the rest of the night half-watching Ghost Hunters (Grant's last episode) while re-downloading all her apps, setting her passwords, etc...

Moral of the story, make sure someone isn't blocked before erasing everything.  Men!

;-)

Take Care!

~Sam
