Parenthood and Autumn

Unique title?  They are both on my mind...

Parenthood is such an experience and so rewarding. It's amazing the things you learn and the things you do.  For instance, no slip hair bands are awesome!  Abby has fine hair, but these stay in during her dance class.  They sell them at CVS for $2.99.  We made sure to buy the ones with the hair tie holder.  It keeps them together in her dance bag. Here is a picture I found online of some with the holder.  We picked one with bright colors, like girly pink.  Abby is a girly girl!

It's a great Saturday night! I was busy all day.

The kids and I got up by 7:15 and froze our behinds off this morning at Zac's football practice.

When we got back, the kids and I cleaned house.  No, laundry isn't done yet.  Is it ever?

Pinterest is very addicting and has some great ideas!  I did a lot of organizing from things I've seen on it.  I cleaned and organized most of my cabinets.  I feel good about that.

Afterwards, I got all of my fall decorations out, changed my Scentsy pots to baked apple pie, and lit a candle called autumn harvest.

Today is the first day of autumn!  WELCOME FALL!!!!!

Here is a sign that fall is here, if you had any doubts.

Shawn just found him on the deck when he let Lucy out.  I haven't seen a willy worm this big before.  He has spiky hairs.  I put him on a paper plate so you could see his size.  Unfortunately, he curled up into a ball and refused to stretch back out.  Look at the long hair he has in the last picture.  Strange.  Maybe he's not your typical willy worm.  Wow!  I didn't know I could go on and on about a worm, but now that I have, I will move on.  ;-)

My super amazing husband said that I deserved a break from cooking, so he brought Subway home!  I'm so glad he did!  It gave more even more time to organize.  Thank you beautiful husband!  I love you Shawn!

I must have worn the kids out.  I went to tell the kids it was time for bed at 9:00 since we need to get up for church in the morning.  This is how I found Abby.

She was reading one of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books when she conked out.  Before 9:00 p.m.!

I hope I didn't bore you too much!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hump Day

I don't know why, but Wednesday and I do not get along.  It was just one of those days.  Not to mention, I am ready for bed by 8pm on Wednesday's.

Abby had her first dance class last night.  Here is her in her leotard, shoes, etc.  Don't mind the messy bookshelf.  And the dog toys at her feet.  Oh well...  At least the trees are pretty out the window.

Have a great night!

Pictures

I downloaded the album to facebook.  Here is the link to my page if you want to check them out:

Colts lost.  Not surprised.  Packers are losing, so that's disappointing.  Falcons won at least!  Those are my favorite teams...  I guess I'm a Broncos fan now too.

Take Care!

Football

I am ready for some FOOTBALL!!!

I imagine the Colts will look horrible again this season.  Peyton Manning's first season was horrible and I wondered if we should have chosen Ryan Leaf in the draft instead.  I was wrong.  I'm so glad to be wrong sometimes.

Zac has a game later today.  They play the Logansport Packers.  I plan on taking pictures, so check back later or check Facebook if you want to see them.

Mentioning Facebook, my cover photo was one of the kids from last summer.  I took a picture this morning and put it up.  It's not my favorite, but it will do for now.  I don't love the background.

Here's the pic:

I have to get going.  Shawn wants me to buzz his and Zac's hair...

Take Care!

Happy Birthday!

To my amazing husband!  Shawn turned 36 on Wednesday.  I felt horrible because it was such a busy day and I didn't get to make as big of a deal about it as I normally do.  It started off with bad news about 2 people.  One of whom, Shawn worked with.  Shawn had to even make supper that night.  He put some chicken breast and Frank's sauce in the crock pot.  After we got home from school, the kids did homework, then we went to Zac's football game.  After that we came home, finished homework, and ate.  We did get to enjoy some NFL football after that!

In order to make supper, Shawn had to run to Flora to get chicken breast for the crock pot.  He bought me flowers while he was out... On his birthday!  I came home to flowers on his birthday.  What a man!  I was supposed to be making him feel special.

I am making Shawn's birthday supper tonight, since I couldn't do it Wednesday.

This morning I found a note on my purse from my loving husband.  He's so sweet sometimes.  I love you, Shawn!

Our days are just crazy busy, sometimes.  Zac had football practice this morning and Abby had cheer camp. Those are both out of the way, so luckily, we are free the rest of the evening!  It's awesome to be home.  Dishes are done, house is picked up, and washer is going.

Here are my flowers:

Aren't they beautiful?  I am one lucky girl!

Take Care and Have a Wonderful Weekend!
