Football

I love living out in the country with lots of room!  Our big yard is great for ball practice!

After getting Zac's gear last night, he couldn't wait to practice.  So, after getting home from Camp Tecumseh, he put on his gear and went outside to practice.  I thought Shawn killed him with the first hit!  He's a tough kid!  After practice, they came inside and had their first lesson.

Don't worry!  I know Zac is a Saint, so we had the "bounty" talk.  He promises not to hurt anyone for money.

When we came in to make supper, we lost power.  Apparently someone hit a pole on Meridian (Hog Slat) road.  We have REMC and were out of power.  Camden and Burrows on Duke energy were out of power as well as the town of Flora.  I hope the person/people is/are okay!

This is his Heisman Pose, LOL!

Dad wiping out son.

I love this pic!  He tucks the ball so well!

I thought little girls liked to draw hearts and flowers.  ;-)

Catching Up

This post is really long.  Sorry!  Just trying to catch up!

I forgot to mention something in a previous post. When I said the nurse died at the end of Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms, I forgot to add a detail. The nurse AND baby die in childbirth. How depressing!

We went to the Cass County Fair two Thursdays ago and went to the Justin Moore concert. Justin said he makes it his goal to get everyone to stand up. He told us to stand up, and of course, not everyone did. He then said, "Don't make me come out there." He came out to greet everyone in the stands after that. I got some close up pics! And that's without my telephoto lens zoomed out all of the way. It was great! He's such a little guy! During the concert, he brought a girl on stage. It was her 17th birthday. His first question to her was, "Where's your dad?" LOL! He said he has 2 daughters and he's already dreading it when they get older. Later he brought his older daughter out for a song. He said she knows every word to it.

We went to the Carroll County Fair last Tuesday.  I donated blood for the first time.

Last Friday we went to Winamac to the Power from the Past.  Levi Riggs was playing there for free.  He played Jason Aldean's Fly Over States, so I was happy!

Our internet stopped working Thursday morning after we finally got some rain.  They finally got it fixed yesterday.  Our phone was fine, just internet wasn't working.  We got up this morning and our internet was working, but our phone had no dial tone.  Shawn called TDS again this morning and they came out again today.  We're back in business, for now.  We have trouble with phone and internet 2-3 times a year.  Gah!

On Friday my Durango got some new shoes and socks.  ;-)  I was afraid the rims would make it look "urban".  Shawn said that word sounded better.  Anyway, I think it looks more redneck than "urban".  It's growing on me.  The rims that were on it looked horrible.

We went and got Zac's football gear tonight.  If he can be aggressive, he might get to play running back since he's small and fast!  I wish I could run like he does!  If not running back, maybe safety or something.  I'll take pictures of him this weekend.  Zac wants to put on his gear and practice with me.

Right now we are watching Destination Truth with the kids.  They think (and so do I) that Josh Gates is hilarious.

The kids have been at the Camp Tecumseh Day Camp this week.  It is kind of expensive, but they are having a blast!  I will put pics of that on here this weekend probably.

While the kids were at Camp T today, Shawn and I went shopping.  I am down TWO pant sizes since last year!!!!  It was awesome clothes shopping today.  All of my "teaching" clothes were too baggy.  I can't wait to wear my new ones.

I heard something on the radio that I thought was funny.  The Big 10 college Mascots made a parody.  Not all of them were included.  Here is the video:

Pete and Willie made one in response since they were left out.  Here it is:

I think its funny.

Take Care!

Here are some pics:

The other morning I saw this on Facebook.  Later I had a butterfly land on me and it stayed around for at least 10 minutes.  He liked reading a romance book with me!  It was called the Duke and I.  ;-)  After reading this that morning, of course I whispered to the butterfly!  LOL!  Does that make me crazy???

Justin Moore Concert

I had to get a picture of his backside!!!  ;-)

Here's some of that amazing stuff they call rain!  This was Thursday.

Durango with old rims and tires.

New rims and tires.  What do you think?

Power from the Past

Levi Riggs held my hand and sang to me!  It lasted probably 20 seconds.  He might not be a big star, yet, but I still grinned like a fool.  I'd never been sang to before.  He went around singing to a lot of women.

He let a kid (that he didn't know) come up on stage and play In Color by Jamie Johnson.  The kid did awesome!

My bruise from donating blood.
